What do you love about your platform?

I think it’s so cool to connect with people in such a personal way and to provide a space for people to connect with each other through music. The best part of any type of platform is the strong sense community and the support system that surrounds it.

Who is your favorite LGBTQ+ figure right now?

I’ve had Arca’s Kick i album on repeat since it came out last year. She’s one of my favorite producers of all time. I’ve been listening to her since the Stretch EPs, and this album feels like a culmination of all her previous work to me. It’s so massive and so beautiful.

Who is your all time inspiration when it comes to your artistry?

I pick up the most inspiration just from the people around me, especially my queer friends. Whether it’s from something they’re listening to or from a conversation we have. I always feel so inspired to create because of how talented and hardworking the queer people in my life are.

What do you want people to understand about you?

People don’t necessarily need to understand me, but I hope people really connect with the music. I want people to feel light, carefree and encouraged by it. I want people to know that they can go out and make songs just from their bedroom, too. There’s nothing stopping you and it’s the most fulfilling thing ever.

What do you hope for the future of the LGBTQ+ music scene?

I want the community to continue becoming a more safe and inclusive space. I feel like there’s definitely been good changes that've been made since I was younger, but there’s a lot that still needs to be changed. We need to continue to push and support queer POC, especially those who identify as trans. There’s so much incredible art being made in this community and it deserves the spotlight year round.
